Salt Lake City, Utah – The Laramie County Community College men's basketball team opened the Salt Lake Community College Tournament Friday with a 96-60 loss to Snow College in Salt Lake City.
The Golden Eagles fell to 3-5, while the Badgers improve to 7-0.
Tyrese Potoma (Regina, Canada) posted a team-high 21 points, shooting 5-14 from the field and 9-9 from the free-throw line. Stephane Manzi (Nyamirambo, Rwanda) led the Golden Eagles in rebounds with seven. Cortney Dean (Denver, Colorado) chipped in with 17 points, while sinking 4-5 free throws. Daequan Spragion (Brooklyn, New York) sent out three assists, pulled down five rebounds and had a steal. Hayden Collier (Rangiora, New Zealand) blocked four shots in the game and pulled down six boards.
Snow College shot 58.6 percent from the field, while Laramie County was limited to 31.6 percent. The Badgers also shot 52.6 percent from the three-point line.
LCCC plays Salt Lake Community College at 7 p.m. MT on Saturday.
