Cheyenne, Wyo. – Nate Johnson suited up for the Golden Eagles last fall and was the captain of the Laramie County Community College men's soccer team. He will continue to pursue his passion for playing at the next level as he signed with NAIA program Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas.
Johnson, a native of Nampa, Idaho started centerback for the Golden Eagles as a freshman and sophomore. He started 32 games in the back line and was part of the group in 2016 that posted 12 shutouts and captured a Region IX Championship. He was on the 2017 All-Region IX North First Team and All-Region IX North Second Team in 2016.
The Braves of Ottawa University finished the 2017 season 9-8-1 reaching the KCAC Quarterfinals. Ottawa University competes in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
