Athletic Director

Gary Addington Gary Addington will officially join the LCCC Athletic Department on September 8, 2025, as the college’s new Athletic Director. Gary has a long history in higher education, serving at Otero College in Colorado for over 28 years and has a strong foundation in serving all students.  During his time at Otero, he has served the institution as the athletic director, the dean of student affairs, an advisor, and assistant financial aid director.  Gary served as the Otero’s first head women’s softball coach for its inaugural season, spent nine  years as the head baseball coach, and most recently has served as athletic director for 14 years. During his time as athletic director, he initiated the development of five new intercollegiate athletic programs, creating more opportunities for young people to follow their dream of pursuing a college degree while playing the sport they love. 

About being joining the LCCC team, Gary shared, “Everything excites me about coming to LCCC. I believe my leadership philosophy aligns closely with the college's pillars of success, not only prioritizing competitive success and academic achievement, but also campus integration and community partnerships. The people are what make the institution, and I’m excited to be a part of the team.”

Gary and his wife Kelly have three children.  Both Gary and Kelly are graduates of Otero College where they played baseball and volleyball.
