CASPER, WY - Abby Garreaud brought down a game-high 13 rebounds and scored 11 points as the Golden Eagles (7-6, 1-2) fell to Casper (13-0, 3-0) 75-43 on Wednesday night.

The No. 6 Casper Thunderbirds raced out to an early lead, scoring 16 of the game's first 20 points to open up a 12 point advantage and took a 25-13 lead after the first quarter. 

With 11 points, Garreaud put together her eight straight game with double-digit scoring and her 13 rebounds was the third double-digit rebounding performance of the season. 

The Golden Eagles and Thunderbirds played a fairly even second quarter as LCCC went into the locker room trailing 44-30.

Ximena Gutierrez (Glenwood Springs, Colo.) scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds in the loss. 

The Golden Eagles shooting went cold in the second half, being outscored 31-13 in the final two quarters.

Kaysen Hobbs (Fort Collins, Colo.) scored a season-high seven points in the loss. 

The Golden Eagles are home on Saturday, hosting Western Wyoming at 2:00 pm.
