CHEYENNE, WY - Three Golden Eagles finished with double-digit kills as the LCCC (8-8, 3-2) beat Central Wyoming (4-2) 3-1 on Friday afternoon.

Rigan McInerney (Gillette, Wyo.) led the Golden Eagles with 16 kills and finished with 10 digs, second-most on the team, helping to lead the Golden Eagles.

LCCC came out fast, taking the first set over the Rustlers 25-19 before going up 2-0 with a 25-23 win in the second set.

Kyla Childers (Parker, Colo.) finished with the second-most kills on the team, recording 15 while Kalme Moncavo (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) tallied 14 kills.

Central Wyoming would stay alive with a 25-20 win the third set before the Golden Eagles put the match away in the fourth, holding off the Rustlers with a 26-24 win.

Emma Bonney (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) finished the match with three aces and eight digs. Shelby Veenstra (Twin Falls, Idaho) led the way with 59 assists and 15 digs.

The Golden Eagles continue the home stretch by welcoming in Western Wyoming on Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
