CHEYENNE, WY - The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles (10-14) fell 3-0 to the No. 12 ranked Central Wyoming Rustlers (18-6) on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early lead in the first set before the Rustlers came back to win the first set 27-25.
Rigan McInerney (Gillette, Wyo.) finished the match with 13 kills and eight digs while Shelby Veenstra (Twin Falls, Idaho) had 16 assists and added five kills in the loss.
Central Wyoming raced out to an early lead in the second set as the Golden Eagles couldn't recover, losing the set 25-21.
McKenzie Earl (Rawlins, Wyo.) ended the match with four blocks and four kills while Kiley Still (Cheyenne, Wyo.) had 10 assists and three blocks.
The Golden Eagles dropped the third set 25-12, losing the match 3-0.
Shae Halls (Carpenter, Wyo.) recorded 11 digs in the loss.
LCCC returns home on Friday, October 22, hosting Western Wyoming at 7:00 pm.
