Laramie County Community College Volleyball is thrilled to announce the newest addition to its roster for the upcoming 2026 season: Eleonora Tavera, a talented 5'7 libero from Sassari, Italy. Tavera will join the Golden Eagles in January 2026 to begin training and prepare for an exciting season ahead.
Tavera brings an impressive resume to LCCC. She has been a standout player in Italy, competing in Serie B for four years, where she consistently challenged herself against top-level competition. Her leadership skills shone early as she captained her youth team to a provincial title, and in 2019, she earned the prestigious honor of being named Best Libero in the region.
When asked about her decision to join LCCC, Tavera shared her enthusiasm:
"I have always been committed both in the classroom and on the court. With my youth team, I won the provincial title and had the honor of serving as captain. I've also been playing in Serie B for four years, continually challenging myself and aiming to reach higher levels in my volleyball career. In 2019 I also won the title of best libero in the region!
I chose LCCC because the coaching staff immediately made me feel supported and truly believed in my potential. Even though I haven't visited the campus yet, I already feel that LCCC is the right place for me to grow both academically and athletically.
I'm excited to join the team, develop my skills, and be part of a positive and competitive environment. I can't wait to meet everyone, work hard, and proudly represent the Golden Eagles next season."
Head Coach Zach Shaver and Assistant Coach Janie Crocker expressed their excitement about Tavera's arrival, noting her international experience and leadership qualities will make an immediate impact on the program.
The Golden Eagles look forward to welcoming Eleonora to campus and watching her thrive both on and off the court as she begins her journey at Laramie County Comunnity College.
