Laramie County Community College Volleyball is proud to announce the signing of Viktória Hargitai, a middle blocker from Budapest, Hungary, to its 2026 recruiting class. Hargitai brings international competition experience, a strong academic background, and a team‑first mentality to the Golden Eagles.
Hargitai has built an impressive volleyball résumé competing at the national and international levels. Her achievements include a 6th‑place finish in the Hungarian National U17 Championship, 2nd and 6th place finishes in the National U20 Championship, and a runner‑up finish in Hungary's top professional league, NB I. One of the standout accomplishments of her career came with a gold medal at the international MEVZA U19 Cup, highlighting her ability to perform at a high level against elite European competition.
Alongside her athletic success, Hargitai has consistently prioritized her education. She completed a secondary school program in financial and accounting administration, earning a professional certificate while developing strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills. She was an active participant in school life and frequently contributed to social and community activities.
"These results are the outcome of hard work and strong teamwork," Hargitai said. "Both academically and athletically, I always aim for balance and continuous improvement."
Her decision to attend LCCC was guided by the school's academic reputation and the supportive culture she experienced during the recruiting process.
"I chose LCCC because it offers many opportunities to grow both in studies and in sports," she said. "The quality of education and the supportive community were very important to me. I believe this school will help me gain the knowledge and experience I need for my future while allowing me to compete in an environment where the coaches and players are kind and encouraging."
Looking ahead to the 2026 season, Hargitai is eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities of collegiate volleyball in the United States.
"I am most looking forward to improving my volleyball skills next year," she said. "I'm excited to work together with my teammates, learn from each other, and become a successful team. Competing is not only about performance—it's about teamwork, overcoming challenges, and creating great memories. I believe being a Golden Eagle will help me grow both personally and as a team member."
