Coach Janie Crocker is a dedicated and experienced multi-sport coach with a strong background as both a competitive athlete and a developer of young talent. A four-sport athlete throughout high school, Coach Crocker went on to play collegiate volleyball at McCook Community College, where she was a standout setter for two seasons.

During her career at MCC, she appeared in 36 matches in her final season and recorded 1,209 assists, 333 digs, 109 kills, 57 total blocks, and 42 service aces. She finished the season ranked 7th in the nation in total assists and 24th in assists per set (8.76) earning Region IX All-Tournament Team honors. Over her two-year career, she totaled 1,645 assists, 475 digs, 142 kills, 81 blocks, and 53 service aces.

Following her collegiate career, Coach Crocker returned to her hometown and began coaching at multiple levels. She served as the Head Coach for junior high volleyball, basketball, and track, where she focused on building strong fundamentals and fostering a love for sport at an early age. She also contributed as an Assistant Coach for high school volleyball and basketball, supporting varsity and JV programs while helping athletes grow in both skill and confidence.

In addition to her school coaching roles, she spent three seasons coaching with Great Plains Volleyball Club, working with competitive athletes to refine their technique, develop their volleyball IQ, and prepare for higher levels of play.

Coach Crocker recently relocated to Cheyenne, where she lives with her husband, Dayton Crocker—assistant coach for the men’s soccer program—and their two dogs, Cash and Ruby. She is excited to continue her coaching journey and contribute to the growth and success of her student-athletes.
