TORRINGTON, WY - Lucia Fleta (Tenerife, Spain) scored a career-high 22 points in a Golden Eagles (11-9, 5-5) 70-54 loss to Eastern Wyoming (14-7, 8-2) on Monday night.

The Golden Eagles were outscored 19-4 in the fourth quarter after fighting back to take a lead late in the third. Eastern Wyoming opened the fourth on a 13-2 run as the Golden Eagles would make just two field goals in the final frame.

Anna Terron (Tarragona, Spain) scored 14 points and had seven assists in the loss. 

Eastern Wyoming built an early lead in the first half before the Golden Eagles stopped a 12-1 run on back-to-back threes from Fleta and Terron to cut the deficit to 35-27 at the half. 

The Golden Eagles outscored the Lancers 23-16 in the third quarter and took a 50-46 lead into the fourth on a made three from Ariadna Bleda (Barcelona, Spain).  

Ximena Gutierrez (Glenwood Springs, Colo.) scored eight points and had four rebounds.

LCCC will host Central Wyoming in the Region IX Tournament play-in game on Saturday at 4:00 pm
