Golden Eagles Sweep Gillette College, Remain Undefeated in Conference Play

The Laramie County Community College (LCCC) Golden Eagles continued their dominant run in Region IX play with a commanding 3-0 sweep over Gillette College on Friday night. The win improves LCCC's overall record to 13-9 and keeps them perfect in conference action at 5-0. Gillette College, previously 16-3 and 2-2 in conference, struggled to find rhythm against the Golden Eagles' balanced attack.

Sila Yildiz led the offense with 11 kills and added 3 assist blocks, while Adriana Deming contributed 10 kills and 4 assist blocks from the right side. On the defensive end, Savannah Cummings anchored the back row with an impressive 24 digs, and Addison Schreurs orchestrated the offense with 31 assists and chipped in 2 service aces.

The Golden Eagles return to the court tomorrow, Saturday, October 11, for the Annual Flight for a Cure Pink Out Game against Casper College. Fans wearing this year's Flight for a Cure t-shirt will receive free admission to the match. All proceeds from t-shirt sales will be donated to the Cheyenne Regional Cancer Center, supporting local cancer care and awareness.

Game time is set for 2:00 PM at the Blue Receation and Athletics Complex.
