CHEYENNE, WY - Anna Terron scored 12 points to lead the Golden Eagles as the LCCC  (2-3) lost their second consecutive game, losing 87-61 to #22 Western Nebraska (5-1) on Tuesday evening at the RAC. 

LCCC got off to a good start thanks to an Abby Garreaud (Magna, Utah.) converted on a three-point play. Western Nebraska embarked on a 7-0 run and finished the quarter up 25-11.

Garreaud finished the night with nine points and seven rebounds.

For the second straight quarter, Garreaud opened the scoring with a layup in the second. The Golden Eagles cut the deficit to 38-24 on a three from Ariadna Bleda (Barcelona, Spain). LCCC went into the locker room trailing 45-30. 

Ximena Gutierrez (Glenwood Springs, Colo.) opened the third quarter with a three as the Golden Eagles and Cougars played close to even in the third as Anna Terron dripped in a floater outside the lane, cutting the deficit to 67-49 at the end of the third quarter. 

Gutierrez scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss. Sam Hester (Saratoga Springs, Utah) scored 11 points for the Golden Eagles and paced the team with five assists. 

Western Nebraska pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Golden Eagles 20-12.

The Golden Eagles host Trinidad State on Friday at 1:00 pm at the RAC.
